Mesh Mixer Object Refining

Object refinement.

During the speed dating sessions i received an overwhelming response to my snake shoes and how it would likely be the best candidate for this assignment. I chose to stick with this despite my love for the tooth piano. People believed that the object had the best potential to progress forward to the next few steps and i suppose i agreed with them. The majority of people said i should make the snakes loop back and forth like an actual shoe lace so i decided to give that a go. I must say i am not super pleased  with it and think its a bit of a flop but spending the past week on it with little to no improvement has made me wave the white flag at this. I think next time i would keep it to just one snake or lace the shoes differently as i believe its way too crowded and just bad to look at. 

I believe  that this concept relates to the idea of remix culture through the combination of two separate entities to make a product. Its less of a creative outlet and juxtaposition that you commonly see in the remix area, and more of a combination of two things that share a common shape and improve the functionality of an existing product. This is not the mashup of two wildly different things like Bruce Lee and Jerry Seinfield, its a remix that you look at and go "yeah that makes sense i guess". Its a little dumb but you cant deny that it would be pretty cool.
